ALOO PITIKA Faber 81 Litres Built-in Oven Ingredients • 3–4 medium boiled potatoes • 1 small banana flower (cleaned) • 1 onion (thinly sliced) • 2–3 green chillies (chopped) • 1 tbsp grated ginger • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves • 1 tbsp mustard oil • ½ tsp red chilli powder • ½ tsp salt (to taste) Instructions ● Step 1: Grill the Vegetables ● Preheat the Faber 81 Built-in Oven to 200°C. ● Place the boiled potatoes and banana flower pieces on a baking tray. ● Double grill both for 20 minutes at 200°C, turning once midway, until the potatoes turn lightly crisp and the banana flower becomes tender and slightly charred. ● Remove and let them cool slightly. ● Step 2: Prepare the Potato Mixture ● In a mixing bowl, place the grilled potatoes. ● Add sliced onion, chopped coriander, green chillies, and grated ginger. ● Season with salt, red chilli powder, and drizzle mustard oil. ● Mix well until the ingredients form a thick, even batter. ● Step 3: Prepare the Banana Flower Mixture ● Finely chop or mash the grilled banana flower. ● Add sliced onion, coriander, green chillies, grated ginger, and salt. ● Mix well to make a mildly smoky, aromatic batter. ● Step 4: Combine and Shape ● Take a portion of the banana flower mixture and mix it with some of the potato batter. ● Shape into small, round balls or patties. ● Step 5: Serve ● Serve warm with grilled fish or enjoy as a standalone vegetarian side dish.
