Question 4

Which Faber kitchen chimney is best for an Indian home?

Accepted Answer

Here's the revised version with Carbon Filter removed from the list of filter types and a separate sentence added for ductless chimneys:
For Indian kitchens with daily cooking, frying, and tadka, Faber offers a wide range of kitchen chimneys designed to suit different cooking styles and kitchen layouts. Our filterless auto-clean chimneys use Heat Auto-Clean Technology to dissolve oil deposits automatically, reducing manual cleaning effort. We also offer advanced models with Steam Clean Technology, which achieves up to a 99.9% cleaning rate. Faber chimneys are available with suction capacities ranging up to 1800 m³/hr, making them ideal for heavy Indian cooking. Many premium models are equipped with an energy-efficient BLDC motor for powerful performance, quieter operation, and lower power consumption. Depending on your requirements, you can choose from different filter systems, including 3-layer Baffle Filters and Filterless Technology. Faber also offers ductless chimneys equipped with Carbon Filters, making them a suitable option for kitchens where duct installation is not feasible. For a standard Indian kitchen (2–3 BHK), a chimney with 1200 m³/hr suction capacity is generally ideal, while larger kitchens or heavy cooking needs may benefit from higher-suction models. The Faber store team can recommend the right chimney width (60 cm or 90 cm) and the most suitable model based on your kitchen size, cooking habits, and hob configuration.

Question 5

What geyser (water heater) capacity is right for my home?

Accepted Answer

Faber water heaters (geysers) are built with multiple safety and durability features to ensure reliable performance and long-lasting use. They are designed to withstand up to 8-bar pressure, making them suitable for high-rise apartments and high-pressure water supply systems. For enhanced safety, Faber geysers are equipped with Thermal Cut-Off Technology, which automatically disconnects the power supply in case of overheating. The inner tank is manufactured using Single Weld Line Technology, which improves structural strength and minimizes the risk of leakage. Additionally, Faber geysers feature a 5-bolt flange design, ensuring a secure heating element fit, better sealing, and improved durability for long-term performance.

What is the difference between a filterless chimney and a baffle filter chimney?

Accepted Answer

A filterless (heat auto-clean , steam auto clean) chimney has no mesh or cassette filters — it uses a motor-driven cleaning cycle to push oil into a collector cup, making it very low-maintenance. A baffle filter chimney uses stainless steel baffles to separate grease; these are durable and can be cleaned manually. For heavy Indian cooking, filterless auto-clean chimneys are generally preferred for convenience. Faber offers both types across its range at its store Faber Platinum Studio located in Kommadi, Alappuzha.

Question 12

Is a built-in hob better than a freestanding gas stove for a modular kitchen?

Accepted Answer

A built-in hob is designed to sit flush with your kitchen countertop, giving a sleek, integrated look that complements modern modular kitchens. It is easier to clean around and pairs perfectly with a chimney installed directly above it. A freestanding gas stove, on the other hand, is more affordable, portable, and can be replaced independently. Faber offers both built-in hobs (2, 3, 4, and 5-burner models) and freestanding gas stoves at Faber Platinum Studio located in Kommadi, Alappuzha. All Faber hobs also come with a hybrid installation feature, allowing you to use them as a countertop initially and later install them as a built-in hob whenever you upgrade to a modular kitchen. This makes them an excellent choice for customers looking for a long-term investment with greater flexibility.

Question 13

How do I choose between a Faber tabletop, freestanding, and built-in dishwasher?

Accepted Answer

The right dishwasher type depends on your kitchen setup. A tabletop dishwasher (6-8 place settings) suits small families or compact kitchens and sits on the countertop. A freestanding dishwasher (12-14 place settings) is for larger families and can be placed anywhere with a water connection. A built-in dishwasher is installed inside a cabinet for a seamless modular kitchen look. Faber carries all three types — the in-store team at Faber Platinum Studio located in Kommadi, Alappuzha can help you choose based on family size and kitchen design.

Question 14

Does Faber make water purifiers, and which type is suitable for Indian tap water?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Faber's water purifier range includes RO, UV, UF, RO+UV, Copper, and Alkaline purification technologies to suit different water conditions. For most Indian cities where tap water has high TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) or hardness, an RO+UV purifier is generally recommended. Depending on the model, Faber water purifiers feature 5 to 10 stages of purification, ensuring thorough removal of impurities while delivering clean, safe, and healthy drinking water. Many models are equipped with Copper and Alkaline Technology, which help enhance water quality by retaining or enriching essential minerals for a healthier drinking experience. Faber also offers specialized models designed primarily for TDS reduction, making them suitable for areas with high TDS levels. The Faber Platinum Studio located in Kommadi, Alappuzha can help you choose the most suitable water purifier based on your local water source, water quality, and TDS level.
